DEFINING THE INTERROGATIVES FOR YOUR BRAND
Where Do I Begin?
For those who need to understand their “churn” in this business, and overall loss of customers during a specific time, I recommend you do the following.
Go to your state’s Department of Education, and then to your specific town/city and see EXACTLY how many students are enrolled per grade level, check out male versus female. They are divided by early education, elementary, middle/intermediate and high school. We share the same student demographic.
You can figure out that approximately 5% of the females at each grade level are interested in dance. You should also go to what activities are offered as before and after school programs for each grade male and female. In the last 20 years, public and private schools are the before and after school care givers for a two-parent income home. Beginning in middle school, sports for both genders become important.
At the high school level, beginning Freshman year, the guidance department starts advocating that students who are going to attend college have at least one sport/activity on their student resume emphasizing a student’s skills and interests.
Business principles applied to educational businesses like ours are not often as productive as one would think. You should research what is being offered in your town since most parents are working and do not want to travel outside their own location environment. Parents are increasingly becoming dependent upon activities that can be offered within a school district. Just a thought…now let’s begin
